Iris: Screen Recorder App Reviews

I used Iris to create a simple YouTube channel. I wanted something free and useful and Iris really did wonders! If anybody wants quality screencasts with .mov output files for free, IRIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! I would like to personally thank Iris’s creators and encourage them to keep this program on the app store.

LOVE This tool! Hands down my favorite screencast and video recording tool for professional use. High-quality with great customization options. I purchased Iris about 6 months ago. In the most recent MAC OS update, Iris stopped functioning correctly. It froze, the new recording screen would never appear. It was new, so I waited a few weeks and kept trying. No improvements. I uninstalled it and re-installed it. It still does not work on one of our MACs. On a second, our premium use purchase (to remove the watermark) was not restored to the app. Again, no big deal as long as it can be handled. Reached out to support, no response at all. I have received no support response, it now only works on one computer, and now can not access my purchase. Definitely a frustrating experience to see so little care taken to customer service and tech support on an otherwise excellent tool.

Now, starting 2 years ago I had always wanted to do a youtube channel on my mac, but I did not want to pay too much money, or have to download a windows application. My friend found this for me, and it works great! It has a glitch everyonce in a while, like being damaged or quitting randomly, buut otherwise it is good for a free app and easy to use on mac! Now I have a youtube channel because of iris, so thanks to the people who made it :)

I’m writing a programming course right now and the publisher asked me to use screen recording software that costs over $100. I showed them the quality iris produced and they gave me a thumbs up. It has all of the features I need and when I emailed for support I got a response back from the develper who wrote the app in about an hour. Very happy with this purchase.

I have been looking for a screen recorder for months to record my games, and then I came across this app. This app has settings where you can choose if it should record your own voice, and your computer’s sound. It is really useful to me.

I recorded one video and after that, the videos I recorded would record normally for a few seconds then freeze. I tried multiple times but with the same results. Please update.

I tried to record a video for Youtube but none of the computers sound will record,only my voice and the camera. I set it it to different settings and it still didnt work. I am using BOSE Soundlink Headphones and whenever I start recording there is a mic that starts to record but it is all staticy and it records my voice and sound there but it is muffled and not like that when I use the headphones with Skype or any other recording program. I like this program only because it records facecam without any trouble, Otherwise, so far sound is bad and I hate that is costs $19.99 just to get that crapy logo and website off at the bottom of the recording!!!
